LSS week #6 and Short Blog Update (L blogs# 13)

My blog has been quiet last week and I am very sorry about that. I just started my first week on my summer job and I didn’t have the energy to write because I wake up early and get home around 5pm. I am also focusing on spending my summer as far away from the internet world and more with my family and love ones.

So how’s your summer going? OH it’s summer here on my side of the globe and it is very very HOOOOT!

Sooo without further a-do I give you my week 6 song pick 🙂

This song is somewhat overplayed on my preferred radio station and it really is one of the songs that gives me a last song syndrome.

Song Title: Secret Love Song

Artist: Little Mix fest. Jason Derulo

Enjoyed the song?

I hope to update more this week, I have something that I want to review and also my weekly weekend adventure blog. 🙂

I also have a scribble in store for everyone. I hope to share it soon. 😀

Oh and bookbed has this activity open for everyone and I want to share it to you. I will update you on it on a separate blog post due tomorrow. (I am writing it after I finish this post.XD)

Have a great week!

Our First and Last (Scribbles #6)

Disclaimer:

This is the raw version of my short story submission at bookbed.org with the same title.

Article submitted: February 11, 2016

I am sharing this unedited version of my composition because I want to inspire and make other people feel that they can also write and share their stories with the world. You don’t need to keep it to yourself if you know it has this “magic” to you then it might be something someone needs to read to help or inspire them as well. It’s called paying it forward.

I was once in your position. 😀

Title: Our First and Last.

I never thought I would have a chance to walk hand and hand with you on a Valentine’s Day weekend. Every Sunday is your day with her. I already accepted that I can only be with you on a normal day where everybody is busy with their own lives; through birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases and other special holidays I knew I had to spend it without you by my side.

You looked at me with those “Chinito” eyes that never fail to make me feel weak. All I could do was smile back and treasure this moment we have. A sunny day with no distractions or no phone calls from anyone that do not know my existence.

You called me last night to tell me that you wanted to spend this day with me. I tried to contain myself but inside I was screaming and jumping up and down for joy. Your voice was cracking while we were talking about when, where and how we will meet. I asked “Anung problema?” (What’s the problem?) You started to tell me that you are fighting with her for almost a week now. It was because she found out about your “deeds”, as we call it. You told me that she told you to stop it. She asked for space and right now you are complying with her request. All the excitement inside of me died down; Was I just a doormat to go to when you are feeling alone? Despite that, I still agreed on meeting and spending the day with you.

I was at your doorstep at around 10 o’clock in the morning. I did not put make-up on and only wore a simple shirt, a pair of jeans and sneakers. I was going to bring you to Tagaytay. The place where we first said we love each other. I do not know if it would make you forget everything you told me last night but it was well worth the shot. The drive there was silent. I did not know what to talk about and I can see that you were crying the whole night. I put out a smile just to reassure you that you shouldn’t be too sad and you tried your best to smile back but I know you were holding back tears.

We arrived just in time for lunch, you did not eat a lot. I told myself that eating may not be a way to make you happy. So I drove us to the Sky Ranch and asked you “May naalala ka?” (Do you remember anything?) You smiled and said “Oo naman, dyan ka nagprofess ng love mo para sa akin.”(This is where you professed your love to me) I frowned and sarcastically said “Ang gwapo mo naman.” (You’re so good looking). We both laughed and that time I knew you were trying your best to make this day memorable for me as much as I want it to be the same for you.

As we walked to our last stop, holding hands, you told me you love me. I answered back “Alam ko naman yun.” (I already know that.) Your grip on my hands got tighter. Before I sat down opposite to you; you hugged me tightly and whispered into my ears “I’m sorry, Jade.” I stopped but you gestured for me to sit down. I could see your worried face but before I could ask you what was that all about, our meal arrived and you ate quietly. I was now the one that did not have any appetite. “Hindi ba masarap yung inorder mo?” (Don’t you like the taste of what you ordered?”) was all you asked me. You devoured your whole dish and also my left over. After everything is consumed your face turned into the gloomy face you had when I picked you up this morning. “Halika na, uwi na tayo.” (Come on, let’s go home”) you smiled at me and I smiled back. We were still silent on our way home. I still had questions inside my head but I was concentrated on driving us safely home.

I dropped you off at your home, your mother was already waiting for you outside. I said my hello and she told me to take care. It was a short drive home but before I arrived my phone notified me that I received a text message. When I arrived it was the first thing I looked at. It was from you, this is what it said:

Message:

You are and forever will be my last love.

(Phoebe is 3 months pregnant. We will get married this coming week. I wanted to spend my last valentine’s day as a single man with you. I know you will try your best not to see me anymore but I hope to see you soon. I’m sorry I couldn’t tell it to you earlier. I did not want to ruin this day. I love you and will always do. You are and forever will be my last love.)

I was right, I will never forget this Valentine’s Day; it was the first and last I will have with you.

A little piece of me. (Scribbles post #3)

When I was younger I was not an “artist”. Until now I don’t believe I am good with my hands when it comes to scribbling and drawing but I do like messing around with pens, pencils, and the occasional colored pencils.

I have been very curious in creating web graphics since I was in high school. Maybe because I wanted a custom signature for all those Harry Potter Role-playing sites I joined and also for my past blog (I warn you that blog is full of teenage angst, problems and immaturity).

I started with playing around on MS Paint and then I tried my hands on GIMP because it was a free source software and it was the nearest thing to Photoshop. When I had my hands on my first Photoshop program which was Adobe Photoshop CS. I explored the internet and I was lucky to be in a school that taught us how to use the program. I also had other classmates that had better skills on Photoshop that shared tutorial sites and all resources that can be found on the inter-webs to enhance our acquired skill.

Okay now, I’ll show you some of my first graphics work.

Finishing high school did not stop me to gain more knowledge about using the program in all possible ways. On my free time, I find myself looking at forums and also joining challenge forums to help me with practicing.

Here are some of the works I did in those challenges

Forum Signatures: (click on the circles for full view)

Coloring.

Coloring is enhancing the colors in one picture by adjusting some elements in the picture. Click circles for full view.

Colorization is different from Coloring.

It is adding color to a black and white or monochromatic picture. Look at that teddy bear. I got that in black and white and yes I colored it just like in coloring books. so there. 😀 Click on the circles for the full view of the other graphics. 😀

teddycopy

Web Avatar/Icons.

Pretty Self explanatory. 🙂 It’s all sets because that’s is what used to be the setup when it comes to icon challenges.

Wallpapers/Blending practice.

I wasn’t really good at making these type of graphics. Maybe because I don’t like working with big resolutions or a big canvas but here are some of my take on it. (Click to enlarge)

Using Photoshop is one of the hobbies that I really enjoy doing but was not in anyway related to my chosen career choice. I shared some of my old works to my current works hoping that it would be a way to inspire others to keep on learning and gaining knowledge in something that you love to do even if you know you suck at it, like me. XD

Ill update you once in a while when I have a new creations. :)))
