A broken laptop charger, netflix binge watching and slowly reading my TBR pile

What is happening to me lately?

For starters, my dental career is slowly taking over my life. Which is both good and bad, good because I am practicing what I dream of becoming and bad because I have less time for my hobbies.

Laptop charger anomaly

So this problem started a few months ago, one of my dogs decided to chew on my laptop charger while I was sleeping soundly at night. Up until now I cannot find a durable charger that can last me at least a good solid year. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

This issue is lightly affecting me because I use my laptop in almost every hobby I do. I use it for writing, for binge watching my netflix series and for conveniently purchasing ebooks on amazon.

I am now in need of a great solution to this problem.

Netflix and melting

Itโ€™s the start of summer here in the Philippines, just when I thought iโ€™d have a great time alone in my room watching netflix or reading a book my airconditioner unit decided to stop. My father called the technician and my aircon just needed some cleaning. ๐Ÿ˜€ yay! But it took almost 2 weeks to finish because they need to do something which also concerns my aircon unit. So, to make it all simple I was sweating like a pig for almost 2weeks while relaxing in my room. Luckily, I was too distracted by the series I was watching to care about the heat.

I just finished Santa Clarita Diet season 1 and season 2 of Lemony Snicketโ€™s Unfortunate Events. In the reality tv section, I binge watched Ru Paulโ€™s drag race season 8. Iโ€™ve also had a throwback day where I watch Sleepless in Seattle.

Netflix and melting indeed!

My TBR pile

My TBR pile is literally a pile right now. I have set my Reading Challenge on Goodreads at 14 books this year and I am feeling pessimistic about finishing 14 books this year.

I have gobbled up 5 books as of now. (Get is gobbled and digest? Haha)

I am currently reading Turtles All The Way Down by John Green.

I am actually looking for a book club I can read with. I am not successful in this little life quest I have. I want to make new friends and open up new connections. If any of you have suggestions, it would be greatly helpful. ๐Ÿ™‚

Basically, that is what is happening to me lately. Boring right? Very normal. Haha.

โ€˜Til next boring post!

The board exam aftermath

It has been months since I wrote anything here.
Two days after taking the Dentist’s license examination, I am back! ๐Ÿ™‚

So what’s up?

Right now as I am writing this blog post, I am currently confused on what #romanceclass eBook to read, I checked Bookbed for book reviews but I am still puzzled.
As of now, I am intrigued to read “The Hometown Hazard” by Dawn Lanuza but I am picking between it and 2 more titles. The last two I have on my list do not have Bookbed reviews yet. Their Amazon ratings are close to each other but I have not yet checked their Goodreads reviews, I assume all three books would probably have the same ratings as their amazon ratings.
so…..T_T help, anyone?
What if I just buy all 3? hahaha.

How was the exams?

I hav heard this question 10 or more times since Saturday.I really have no specific word for it. I am simply happy that I feel free after months of being stuck inside my room to study but I feel anxious to know if my name is included in the “passed” list. I know I did my best in answering the questions but I am still nervous.

In other news…

So much has happened to me these past few months. ๐Ÿ˜€

If you follow this blog the last posts I made redirects you to #MVRedemption on Bookbed, I have been having fun writing this story with my co-writers. ๐Ÿ˜€ It is still on-going.

I have also tried my luck on applying for a writing mentoring program and I passed! ๐Ÿ˜€ I will be under the training hands of Mrs. Kath Castillo Eustaquio-Derla, the author of Before I do andย  What Am I to youย โ€”also published online on Bookbed.ย  I am thrilled to be part of her program and there are a whole lot of things in store for next year! ๐Ÿ˜€ I hope you are still there to support me, pray for me and to cheer me on. ๐Ÿ˜€

2016 is still not over and we have a few more days but I am enthusiastic about what 2017 have for me.

I will now end this post with one of the songs that best describes my 2016. ๐Ÿ˜€

I hope you enjoy listening to it.

LSS week #6 and Short Blog Update (L blogs# 13)

My blog has been quiet last week and I am very sorry about that. I just started my first week on my summer job and I didn’t have the energy to write because I wake up early and get home around 5pm. I am also focusing on spending my summer as far away from the internet world and more with my family and love ones.

So how’s your summer going? OH it’s summer here on my side of the globe and it is very very HOOOOT!

Sooo without further a-do I give you my week 6 song pick ๐Ÿ™‚

This song is somewhat overplayed on my preferred radio station and it really is one of the songs that gives me a last song syndrome.

Song Title: Secret Love Song

Artist: Little Mix fest. Jason Derulo

Enjoyed the song?

I hope to update more this week, I have something that I want to review and also my weekly weekend adventure blog. ๐Ÿ™‚

I also have a scribble in store for everyone. I hope to share it soon. ๐Ÿ˜€

Oh and bookbed has this activity open for everyone and I want to share it to you. I will update you on it on a separate blog post due tomorrow. (I am writing it after I finish this post.XD)

Have a great week!
